I liked this book because it has to do with someone going missing and then finding out about when he gets older, and he tries to find his real parents not his adopted parents. I would recommend this book because it does not take long to read and it is a very enjoying book.

What is one part of the book you would change and why? I would change how the deputy approached him instead of getting more facts about the robberies. He through him in jail because he did not believe Nick when he told him what he has done. Then he let him out because he had no proof that is was or was not him going it. This part should change because they had no proof of anything and the deputy just assumed it. Write a summary of what you have read so far. Nick got Questioned about the robberies and he got thrown in jail. He went out to his mothers place again and found a little blue booty that he knew was for him when he was a little boy before he got kidnapped, so he kept that booty he found.

Write a summary of what you have read so far in your book. My book is about a child becoming missing and his mother getting killed the same night. The kid was only a couple months old when he became missing. Until his adopted parents died he only knew them as his parents. He was searching through the home and found out that he was adopted and he wanted to go and find his biological parents. He went to Declare, Oklahoma where his real parents lived but when he arrived there. He found out that his real mother was dead and the birth certificate did not have his fathers name written on it. He went and talked to his mothers relatives to try and figure out what happened. Write three questions you have about this book. My first question is why doesn't he want to be called Nick Harjo his real name? Why did his adopted parents take him? Did his mother deserve not to have a kid?

Describe the setting- include location, time period, and socioeconomic characteristics. This book takes place in Declare, Oklahoma. Declare is a small town where word spreads fast about anything and everyone knows everyone by at least there family ancestry. The time period takes place in between the 60's-70's. Most of them that live in this town are poor and middle class, but there are always one or two rich families there. Some things that make them poor are that a couple live in really unsafe houses, do not have much money to buy food, and they can not provide for their families like the rich families.

One of the characters name is O boy Daniels. He is the deputy sheriff of Declare. He looks like he is trying to act tough by wearing razor-creased jeans, a stiff western shirt, and snakeskin jeans. The author uses indirect method on this character. They said that Nicky Harjo was dead but then he came back as another name about a quarter of a century later. The author is using in direct on him.
